A friend who supported and help me in many ways

My best friend Richard Jeyraj Edwarss is a true friend indeed. He is always helpful and supportive towards to me when in high school time. He always there for me whenever I need a helping hand or a listening ear. He has all the qualities of a good friend. I really appreciate him for being there for me whenever I needed him.

When I and Richard in form 4 I’m in the science trim class I have always been weak in the chemistry subject. I never scored well in chemistry but Richard is an expert in the subject. He seems to be able to understand everything that is taught in class. He always score top mark in class for chemistry. Since I am weak in the subject, he often helps me with my homework and project. I could not have done it without Richard’s help. Due to his help and guidance, I did well in all my chemistry exam. Not only did I pass, I scored good grades as well. Even my parents were surprised at my improvement. I owe it to Richard for being so patient with me. He spent many afternoon at his house giving me extra tuition. I am so grateful to him.

He had taken a lot of trouble to help me with my studies. He never fails to lend me a helping hand even when he is also busy with his own homework. One night on the eve of my mid-year examination, he studied with me until midnight at his house and let me stay a night his house. I was very happy that Richard was with me because I needed the help as well as the moral support. I was not feeling confident about the chemistry examination, but Richard helped me with come the subject that I was weak at. Thanks to him. I came in fifth in my midyear examination and as always, Richard was the first ranker.

Apart from my studies, Richard is also supportive in other ways. In June last 3 years ago one my classmates spreaded cruel rumours about me. After that incident, the others started teasing me. Richard never joined them but he stood by my side instead. As I felt really hurts by the rumours, Richard consoled me. He told me that it would be better if I just brush off those rumours as my classmates would later realize that the rumours were not true. I was so glad that he was there for me when I had no one else to turn to.

I have been in the same class with Richard since I was in form 1. We do lot of things together and share many unforgettable experience. Richard has a strong character, so he is the one who would stand up for me and advise me when I am lost and confused. Even today we not same college but we always keep in touch. I am so lucky to have him as my best friend.
